Out Today: Susan Campos—Fonseca’s Gandoca
We announce the release of Gandoca, a new work by composer Susan Campos—Fonseca, as part of our IGM LAB initiative.
Gandoca, for solo tuba and analog white noise machine, was developed during research-creation residencies at Costa Rica’s Gandoca-Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge between 2022 and 2024. The piece reflects on extinction, humanity, and justice through listening. Commissioned by Costa Rican tubist Diego Jiménez—Camacho for his Master’s thesis, the EP features his performance of the work.
